About this piece: English musician Elton John is photographed jumping in the air whilst playing the piano during a live performance at Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in California, November 15, 1970. Known for his pageantry and precision on the keys, John saw his most commercially successful period in the 1970s during which he released several hit albums with the help of his musical partner and lyricist Bernie Taupin.
